This Distinct Toolkit allows you to port the frontend of your existing RPC (Remote Procedure Calls) client server solutions to your Windows workstations while preserving your investments in Unix and other platforms. It is based on the industry standards specifications for ONC RPC/XDR defined by Sun Microsystems. It also includes support for the XDR (External Data Representation) standard used for portable data transmission. An RPCGEN utility, a port mapper daemon and samples are included.
